Wayfinder reservations
A Wayfinder reservation holds a lower annual price for you until Ripple reaches the App Store. It is free. We ask for an email address and which tier you want, and nothing else. No card is collected and no money moves.
Who can become a Wayfinder
Anyone who joins the waitlist or reserves a rate before the app reaches the App Store. You can claim your Wayfinder price any time up to 30 days after launch day. After that the offer closes and standard pricing applies to everyone.
Changing your mind before launch
There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund, because nothing was charged. Email us and we delete your reservation, or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
If Ripple never launches, you have lost nothing. Reservations are free, so there is no money sitting with us and no guarantee you need from us. That is the whole point of doing it this way.
How the Wayfinder rate lock works
Wayfinders pay $77.77 a year for Moonrise or $177.77 a year for Eclipse, starting the day the app launches. Those are the prices you keep. When your membership renews, it renews at the same rate. We will raise prices for new members over time. Yours does not move.
What keeps it
The rate lock lasts for as long as your membership stays active without a break. You can switch between Moonrise and Eclipse whenever you like and your Wayfinder rate follows you to the new tier.
What ends it
If you cancel, if you refund your membership, or if a payment fails and is not resolved, the rate lock ends with it. You are welcome back any time, and you would rejoin at whatever the standard price is then.
This is the one part of cancelling that cannot be undone, so we would rather say it clearly than have you find out later. If you are thinking about cancelling for a reason we could fix, email us first at hello@rippledating.com.
Free trials
Every account gets one seven day free trial, and you choose whether to spend it on Moonrise or on Eclipse. It is one trial per person for the life of the account. Once it has been used, on either tier, it is used.
How it ends
A trial needs a payment method to start, and it becomes a paid subscription automatically when the seven days are up. We send you a reminder before that happens, and so does Apple.
Cancelling during a trial
Cancel any time before the trial ends and you are charged nothing at all. Cancelling partway through does use up your one trial, so there is no harm in letting it run the full seven days.
Everything is bought through Apple
Ripple does not take card payments. Every membership, on every tier, including Wayfinder rates, is bought inside the app through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment, holds the card, and issues any refund.
This is worth being straight about, because it changes who you talk to.
What that means for refunds
Apple decides refunds on Apple purchases. We cannot issue them, reverse them, or overrule a decision Apple has made. Anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing.
What we can do is help. Email us and we will tell you exactly how to file the request, and if your situation deserves it we will write to Apple in support of it. That support is real and we do it gladly. It is not the same as a promise, and we are not going to pretend it is.
How to ask Apple
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the Ripple purchase, and choose Request a refund. Apple usually answers within 48 hours.
Cancelling a subscription
Because Apple holds the subscription, you cancel it with Apple. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Ripple, then Cancel Subscription.
Cancelling stops future billing. Your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. It does not refund anything on its own, so if you want money back you have to ask Apple separately.

Renewals
Annual memberships renew automatically at the same rate. We email you before every annual renewal, and Apple notifies you as well.
If a renewal charge catches you off guard, ask Apple for a refund and tell us at the same time. Be aware that refunding a renewal ends the membership, and a Wayfinder rate lock ends with it. If that is not what you wanted, email us before you file and we will look for another way through.
Free accounts
Stardust accounts are free. There is nothing to refund and nothing to cancel. You can delete your account at any time from your settings, and deleting it removes your data.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong with a payment, email us before you call your bank. A chargeback on an Apple purchase can get your whole Apple Account restricted, which costs you far more than the charge you were disputing.
