Acceptable Use Policy

Ripple Dating LLC. Last updated August 11, 2026.

The short version

Ripple is for adults, 18 and over, with no exceptions. No sexual content anywhere on the platform, in profiles or in messages. No asking anyone for money. Nothing illegal.

Trafficking, the sexual exploitation of a child, sexual violence, and sharing intimate images without consent are not rule violations here. They are crimes. We remove the account, preserve the records, and report them.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses Ripple.

Age restrictions

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ripple. This is not a soft rule and there is no version of Ripple for anyone younger. Ripple is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

By using Ripple you also confirm that you are legally able to enter this agreement, that you are not required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction, and that you have never been convicted of a felony or an indictable offense involving violence or a sexual offense.

If we find out an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it immediately and delete the data. If you believe a minor is using Ripple, email hello@rippledating.com and we will treat it as urgent.

Absolutely prohibited

These are not rule violations. They are crimes. Accounts are removed permanently, records are preserved, and we report them to the appropriate authorities.

  • Human trafficking and sex trafficking of any kind, including sexual exploitation and forced labour, and any attempt to recruit, transport, harbour, advertise, or obtain a person for those purposes
  • Child sexual exploitation or abuse, including any child sexual abuse material, any sexualised depiction of a minor, and any attempt to contact, groom, or solicit a minor for a sexual purpose
  • Sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, coercion into any sexual act, and threatening any of them
  • Non consensual content, including sharing or threatening to share intimate or sexual images or recordings of anyone without their consent, and recording anyone sexually without their consent
  • Facilitating, aiding, abetting, promoting, or encouraging any of the above, or any other abuse, violence, or exploitation of a person
  • Offering, requesting, advertising, or arranging prostitution, escort services, or any sexual act in exchange for money, goods, or anything of value

Prohibited content

This applies everywhere on Ripple, and profiles are held to it just as strictly as private messages.

  • Sexually explicit profile content. No nudity, no partial nudity, no sexual acts, and no sexually suggestive imagery in profile photos, profile text, display names, or anywhere else another person can see
  • Nude or sexually explicit images, videos, or messages sent to anyone, whether or not they asked
  • Photos or descriptions of anyone other than yourself presented as you, including another person's photos
  • Any image containing a minor in a sexual or suggestive context, without exception
  • Graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying violence or self harm
  • Hateful content aimed at someone for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation
  • Someone else's private information, including their address, phone number, workplace, or images of them, shared without their consent

Fraud, scams, and financial exploitation

Romance scams are the reason these rules exist, and we treat them as an attack on the people using Ripple rather than a dispute between two users.

  • Any scheme intended to defraud another person on Ripple, including romance scams, advance fee scams, fake emergencies, and investment or cryptocurrency schemes
  • Asking anyone on Ripple for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, gift cards, bank details, card numbers, or financial help of any kind
  • Impersonating another person, a public figure, or a Ripple employee
  • Promoting, advertising, or selling anything, including your own business, another dating platform, or adult content subscriptions
  • Directing people off Ripple to a paid site, a webcam service, or anything requiring payment

Nobody you meet on Ripple should ever need your money. Not for a flight, not for a medical bill, not for an investment. If someone asks, report them and do not send anything.

Illegal acts

You may not use Ripple to do anything illegal, or to help anyone else do anything illegal. That includes, and is not limited to, the sale or solicitation of controlled substances, weapons, stolen goods, or counterfeit items, money laundering, terrorism or violent extremism, and any transaction involving a sanctioned person or region.

You also may not run automated accounts or bots, scrape Ripple, or attempt to access any part of Ripple you are not meant to reach.

Other prohibited conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, stalking, or intimidating anyone, on Ripple or off it
  • Continuing to contact someone who has asked you to stop
  • Creating a new account after we have removed one of yours
  • Holding more than one account at a time
  • Submitting deliberately false birth information, which corrupts the product for you and everyone matched with you

How we enforce this

Every profile and every conversation in Ripple has a report option, and reporting someone also lets you block them in the same step. You do not have to explain yourself to block anyone.

We review reports ourselves. Depending on what we find, we remove content, warn the account, suspend it, or close it permanently and block the person from returning. Anything in the Absolutely prohibited section above skips the warning and goes straight to permanent removal.

We may also remove content or close an account without a report, if we find something ourselves. We do not owe an explanation to an account closed for anything on this page. Memberships are bought through Apple, so Apple handles refunds, and we do not support a refund request from an account closed for a violation.

Where we become aware of child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of a minor, we report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as required by United States law and preserve the relevant records. Where we become aware of a credible threat to life, we contact the appropriate authorities. Our full protocols for law enforcement are in our Terms of Service.

Reporting something urgent. hello@rippledating.com. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

A note on where things stand

The Ripple app has not launched yet. This policy is the standard Ripple is being built to, and it is the standard every account will be held to from launch day. It applies to this website now, and to the app when it ships.
